Founder & Principal: Renee Willmon

Renee Willmon is a strategic consultant with a passion for making complex ideas clear and actionable. With deep expertise in real-world evidence (RWE), patient-generated data, and digital health innovation, she brings a unique blend of scientific rigor and human-centered insight to every project.

  • Renee’s career began as a forensic anthropologist — an investigative role where uncovering truths required meticulous analysis and thoughtful collaboration. As a doctoral candidate, she was a top 10 recipient of the Vanier Graduate Scholarship, Canada’s most prestigious graduate award, and received support from multiple national and international funding bodies for her research on the evolution of tuberculosis and application of micro-CT imaging in the analysis of human remains. Building on this foundation, Renee built the Behavioural Science division at Self Care Catalysts, a pioneering company at the forefront of digital health, where she made sense of real-time patient-generated data to generate high quality evidence for clients, while building the Health Storylines platform to enable research and self-management. The company’s innovative approach and unique technology ultimately led to its acquisition by Alira Health. During the transition, as a Senior Director of Real World Solutions, Renee guiding the post-merger integration of the platform, and led the development of patient-centered evidence strategies for clients and advocacy partners.

    Over the past decade, Renee has partnered with start-ups, pharma companies, biotech firms, CROs, patient advocacy organizations, and digital health platforms to develop evidence strategies that genuinely reflect the human experience. Her work is particularly valued for guiding digital health innovators and investors through complex evidence landscapes, helping them translate innovative concepts into measurable outcomes.

    Renee’s unique ability to clarify complex scientific ideas and craft impactful communications has been central to her work. Whether developing technical product documentation, scientific articles, marketing collateral, investor presentations, or strategic messaging, she brings a clear and compelling voice to healthcare communications — ensuring that innovative ideas are not only understood but embraced by diverse stakeholders. Outside of her professional work, Renee finds inspiration in gardening, equestrian pursuits, and music—all of which influence her holistic and thoughtful approach to strategy and communications.
